Ann Wagner Statement on White House Budget Delay
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) issued the following statement in response to President Obama missing the legally-mandated deadline to submit his budget to Congress.
“Today marks the fourth time in the last five years that President Obama has missed his deadline to submit a budget on time to the American people. Every day hard working families and small business owners from St. Charles, Jefferson County and St. Louis County live within their means and they demand that the White House take our trillion-dollar deficits seriously. That is why House Republicans will pass yet another responsible budget in the coming weeks that addresses our long-term debt, while fostering an environment that creates good, high paying middle-class jobs. The time for action is now; we must stop mortgaging our future today and set a course that invigorates our economy while reducing our massive debt. House Republicans will do their job -- now it is up to the President to do his and submit a responsible budget to protect the American Dream.”
