Rep. Wagner Statement on the 2015 March for Life

January 22, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Ann Wagner released the following statement on the 2015 March for Life:

"On the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, encouraged by those Marching for Life, the House passed H.R. 7, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act, by a vote of 242-179. This bill first prevents taxpayer funding for abortion, including taxpayer subsidies to health care plans under ObamaCare. But it also requires transparency to ensure that consumers are fully informed about which plans on the exchanges contain abortion coverage and surcharges.

"Throughout my life, I have worked to draw attention to the pro-life movement, to change hearts and minds, and to approach this issue with love and compassion. And I will continue to work throughout my time in Congress until the day when abortion is not only illegal but unthinkable."
