Wagner Responds to the Senate Intelligence Committee Report

December 9, 2014

Today, Congresswoman Ann Wagner issued the following statement after the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence released the "Committee Study of the Central Intelligence Agency's Detention and Interrogation Program:"

"As a former United States Ambassador, the safety and security of Americans, especially those that are overseas, should always be our top priority. The Senate Intelligence Committee's decision to release this report to the public threatens the lives of diplomats, military personnel and all Americans around the globe, and irreparably damages our relationships with our allies. While these enhanced interrogation techniques should be seriously examined by lawmakers and officials with top security clearances, the mass publication of this highly partisan and subjective report will only foment more instability around the globe and put our national security at risk."
