Wagner Statement on 1st Week of the 114th Congress
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Ann Wagner released the following statement on the U.S. House of Representatives' first week in the 114th Congress.
"This week, the new American Congress showed the people what is possible under unified Republican leadership. The U.S. House of Representatives passed three important pieces of legislation that will actually see the light of day in the U.S. Senate: the Hire More Heroes Act, the Saving American Workers Act and the Keystone XL Pipeline Act. Each of these bills will increase American incomes, improve the standard of living and restore the American dream. In the last week, the House has focused on passing legislation that provides solutions to the problems facing the average American. I am pleased with the legislation that we sent to the Senate this week and I am hopeful that this is just the beginning of a new era of productivity in Washington."
