Wagner Statement on the Passage of the Ryan-Murray Budget Deal

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Representative Ann Wagner (R-MO) today issued the following statement after the House passed, in bipartisan fashion, the Ryan-Murray budget deal:

"While this deal is far from perfect, it is a small step in the right direction towards enacting the House Republican Budget which will balance our budget in ten years," said Rep. Ann Wagner. "This two-year budget will provide more certainty to the American people and prevents a government shutdown. It will also help restore our military readiness and modernization to defend the United States from threats around the world. Most importantly, this budget reduces the deficit, does not raise taxes, and locks in permanent mandatory spending reductions and reforms. It's time we stop governing from crisis to crisis and restore regular order to get the job done for the American people."
