Wagner Supports Steve Scalise for Speaker

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) released the following statement detailing her support for Steve Scalise to be Speaker of the House:

“Congress needs a leader who will stand up for American families, grow our economy, and commit to reining in Joe Biden’s reckless spending. That leader is Steve Scalise, and I am honored to support him for Speaker of the House.

“Inflation is hitting American families harder than ever, our borders are under attack, and Democrats are refusing to support the commonsense legislation necessary to protect our nation.  In times of crisis, we need a principled Speaker who will unite all corners of the Party and be a fighter against the radical Democrat agenda.
