St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Ulysses S. Grant up for posthumous promotion

President Ulysses S. Grant is in line for a big promotion, more than 150 years after he led the Union Army to victory in the Civil War.

To honor the legacy of the former St. Louis County resident, both U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt and U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner have introduced legislation to promote the taciturn leader to the highest rank in the U.S. Army: "General of the Armies."
