Wagner Bill to Ensure Families Are Seated Together During Flights Passes House
Her Fly Together Act was included in today’s FAA reauthorization
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO), Chair of the House Suburban Caucus, mother of three, and grandmother of three young children, released the following statement after her Fly Together Act, legislation to ensure young children are seated together with their family members on flights, passed the House in the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) reauthorization:
“Parents should not have to pay more to be seated with their children, and today’s passage of my Fly Together Act brings us one step closer to that as a reality. As a mother and a grandmother, I know how challenging it can be to travel safely with children, and I am grateful my colleagues supported my initiative to help families fly together. This legislation will ban airlines from charging families extra fees simply to sit together, and I hope the Senate acts quickly to give parents confidence during their travels.”
