Press Release
The Suburban Caucus Will Work to Improve Quality of Life for Suburban Americans

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO-02) announced today that she would be launching the Suburban Caucus for the 116th Congress, with Wagner serving as the Chairwoman.  The Suburban Caucus will roll-out a member-driven agenda that will improve quality of life in suburban areas across America.

“This is an incredible opportunity to bring Members of Congress from suburban areas together to push a forward-thinking agenda that empowers American families and solves problems that threaten household prosperity and reduce the quality of life for millions.  While the Members of this Caucus will provide diverse experiences from districts around the country, these experiences share many common threads. Issues such as paid parental leave, rising childcare costs, educational opportunities, transportation needs, and accessible and affordable healthcare are examples of the challenges we will tackle this Congress.

“Our ideas and policies will make the lives of suburban families easier and provide for a work-life balance that allows parents to spend more time with their families and community. The Suburban Caucus will be a voice for the growing suburban areas in our country and craft a much-needed agenda that responds to their daily concerns. I look forward to working with my colleagues on these issues as we continue to fight for legislative priorities that will benefit our constituents every day.”

The Suburban Caucus’s mission is to formulate a federal policy agenda that positively affects the everyday lives of suburban America.  By working with Members of the House of Representatives who are invested in the success and growth of suburban America, the Caucus will bring together the best ideas of its members into an agenda for the future.  While the Caucus formation was just approved by the House and membership drives are underway, the Caucus will meet with their constituents across the nation to get their input about the legislative items to be included in the Caucus agenda.
