WASHINGTON - Today, Representative Ann Wagner (R-Mo.) announced the re-introduction of the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, legislation designed to ensure any infant born alive after an abortion receives the same protection of law as any newborn: mandating care and instituting penalties for doctors who allow such infants to die or who intentionally kill a newborn. WASHINGTON - Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) joined with Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY), author of the Debbie Smith Act, to introduce the Debbie Smith Reauthorization Act of 2019. This legislation will reauthorize the Debbie Smith DNA Backlog Grant Program which provides much-needed resources to state and local law enforcement agencies to conduct forensic analysis of DNA evidence collected from crime scenes, including untested rape kits.

This bipartisan bill would require the Comptroller General of the United States to study how virtual currencies and online marketplaces are used to facilitate sex or drug trafficking and propose regulatory and legislative actions to put an end to these illicit activities.
