Washington, DC – Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) released the following statement in response to Senate Democrats failing to act to stop student loans from doubling:

“I am extremely disappointed that the Senate adjourned before passing a plan to stop student loans from doubling. This self-made crisis is a reflection of Washington dysfunction and the only victims are thousands of students who just want a shot at securing a brighter future. Rather than passing a long-term solution to prevent these rates from doubling, Senator Harry Reid decided simply not to act.

“I believe in the sanctity of traditional marriage and believe that it should be up to states’ to determine the definition of marriage. The people of Missouri have spoken and over 70% of Missourians’ decided that marriage should be between one man and one woman. I will always support states’ rights and the people of Missouri have made their decision.”

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) released the following statement after the United States House of Representatives passed the Preventing Greater Uncertainty in Labor-Management Relations Act. This bill responds to the legal uncertainty that occurred as a result of the President’s unconstitutional recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The United States Court of Appeals recently issued a decision stating that such appointments were unconstitutional and calling into question any decision issued by the NLRB.
