Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) released the following statement on the FY2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Conference Report.

"I am extremely pleased that paid parental leave is included in the FY2020 NDAA. This is an important step forward in our ongoing fight to ensure that all Americans have access to paid parental leave, and I will work with my colleagues to make this critical benefit a reality for new families nationwide.

Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt sent a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi urging her to include reauthorization of the Debbie Smith DNA backlog grant program in any end-of-year appropriations bills or continuing resolution. Debbie Smith programs provide much-needed funding to crime labs to process DNA evidence and strengthen the national DNA database that identifies criminals and helps victims find justice.
