Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representatives Norma J. Torres (D-CA) and Ann Wagner (R-MO), the Co-Chairs of the Congressional Central America Caucus, announced that their bipartisan Central American Women and Children Protection Act of 2019 was passed by the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. The bill would protect women and children in the Northern Triangle from domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse and neglect, and to hold perpetrators accountable.

Wagner's Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act during the day's first vote series. The discharge petition will allow every American to see where their member of Congress stands on protecting newborns.
Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representatives Ann Wagner (R-MO) and Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) introduced the New Parents Act, legislation that creates a voluntary option for paid parental leave by allowing parents to use a portion of their Social Security after the birth or adoption of a child. The bill provides parents the flexibility to use their benefits in a way that works best for their household. Many parents, especially those with low incomes, will be able to individually finance up to three months of leave under the New Parents Act.
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and Representative Ann Wagner (R-Mo.) announced that the discharge petition for the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act will ripen next week, and will be filed by Whip Scalise on April 2nd during that day's first vote series. Upon being signed by a majority of members of the House, the discharge petition will force a vote on the Born Alive Act on the House Floor.
